Welcome to the Clerkenwell Literary Festival 2005! This year, the theme is D.I.Y. Performing London offer fresh explorations into neglected parts of London, providing humour, music, ideas and fun. Tickets 6 buy on arrival Taste it Yourself :: CLF Bloody Mary Competition 6.30pm to 8.30pm The Three Kings/Three Things, 7 Clerkenwell Close, EC1 0207 253 0483 Phil Dirtbox hosts this competition which is a matter of pride for local barristas. Comedian and novelist Mark Watson (Bullet Points), author and journalist Sophie Parkin, and punk poet Richie Scurvey in performance while local bars compete to win the Best Bloody Mary Award. Bloody Marys all round. Free Poetry Lunchtimes The Long Walk, St Jamess Church, Clerkenwell Close, EC1 1 to 2pm Each weekday of the Festival, Poetry Lunchtimes offer the chance to see open-air performances free of charge in a beautiful 18thC setting. Programmed by poet, author and playwright; Clare Pollard. Reactions edited by Clare Pollard, and other poetry magazines, periodicals and self-published booklets for sale and on display.
